Welcome to the Ottawa Bead Society, a not-for-profit organization that promotes the craft of beading in the Ottawa area.

We meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month, except in December when we meet on the 2nd Sunday of the month. Doors are open at 1 pm. Meetings start at 1.30 pm, and wrap up by 3:30 pm, to allow clean up of the meeting room by 4 pm.

We meet in the Tanglewood Park Community Center, located at 30 Woodfield Drive in Ottawa, Ontario.

Summer meetings are July 21st and August 18th.

We do not have formal programming during the summer meetings, but set up tables so that people can work on projects as we visit and chat. It’s a good time to bring something you’re looking for a little help on, too.

For more information, please check out About Us, and Membership.  The  20th anniversary of the OBS was celebrated in November 2017.  Check out the history here.

In June, we had a guest speaker. Read about Kazuri beads here.
